I made up my mind I wanted to get healthy. That means I want to lose weight, be in shape for strenuous activities, and make my body and mind as clean and clear as I can. We each have our own journey and this is my journey. I’m writing this in the hope that you can learn something from my journey whether it’s from my failures or my victories. Additionally, I am writing this up as a way to journal my journey in general whether it’s for me to look back upon or my family to understand me just a little better.
This is not just a weight loss journey, it is a mindset journey as well. I’ve gone on a lot of diets and been successful in losing weight but also gaining it back. I will share those successes/failures.
I will share what I think works well and what to avoid. Just keep in mind that I am not a health professional so I am only working from experience. To be clear, I do not look at this latest iteration to be a diet. I look at it as a health upgrade. Weight loss will be a by-product of a healthier lifestyle. My plan is to post weekly updates. In some cases, those updates will include flashbacks to previous experiences. I would like you to come along with me and feel free to ask questions and offer suggestions. My intent is to share enough information to get out of my comfort zone.
The picture above is me in January of 2019 when I weighed in at 292 lbs. That was pretty far from my heaviest but more on that later.
